My sister-in-law just had her mass taken out a couple of days ago and was tested positive for cancer. This article would certainly be of interest to her.

“Elimination”, “equilibrium”, and “escape” - this sounds promising. However, I really want to point out that early detection of cancer is the most important thing in my opinion. It's easy to apply these 3 E's if you're cancer is at its early stage.

I've guessing that equilibrium is also not a state that can be maintained.

All things being equal, equilibrium can go on into perpetuity, or natural end of life.

But, if conditions change in the body that upset the immune system as it exists, then equilibrium can be disrupted and the cancer can then get out of check?

In simpler terms, escape is either being lucky that you somehow managed to survive cancer through immediate medication or luckier that cancer hasn’t come your way. Elimination is for preventing cancer before it occurs or worsens. Equilibrium is for maintaining the balance inside your body, which prevents cancer from growing further.
