Could you please suggest some more information about this antibiotic.... I feel it very interesting....I would rather be happy if you let me know the pros and cons of this antibiotic so that I could share it with my friends...

The real killer for catalytic antibodies has always been their inability to exclude water from the active site. However, protease activity can make use of water, and moreover the breaking of peptide bonds can be catalyzed by acid. It's not unreasonable to think that even a modest catalyst might succeed as a protease under the special conditions present in the stomach. That the antibody is in part dependent on the ambient conditions is consistent with the fact that only the light chain is necessary. Do the authors establish that this fragment is an enzyme at neutral pH?
